Speaker's Information
Audio-Visual Material:

In each workshop/conference room there will be a laptop (with 2 USB ports and a CD/DVD-ROM drive) connected to a projector. All laptops will run Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional as Operating System and will have Adobe Acrobat Reader (v8.1) and Microsoft® Office® 2007 installed. To avoid delaying your session due to laptop-projector synchronization problems, we recommend you to upload your presentation on the laptop before the start of your session.

Posters' Presentation:

For each poster, we will make available a large poster board, approximately 1m (width) x 2m (height) on which you can append your poster.

Formatting Instructions for Camera-Ready Versions

Format and templates

Camera-ready version of papers must be submitted as PDF files. A complete description of the fonts, spacing, and related information for producing the camera-ready version of your paper is available at the following URL: ftp://pubftp.computer.org/press/outgoing/proceedings/instruct.pdf .

You are requested to strictly comply with the format specified therein. A simple and effective way to ensure this is to make use of the available 8.5" x 11", two-column format MS Word or LaTeX templates.

Please refer to the official CPS page (Submenu "Information for Authors: Formatting") of the IEEE Computer Society for any additional information.

The first page of your paper should look like this sample one .

Requirements for creating PDF Documents for IEEE Xplore®

Individual PDFs must be prepared according to the IEEE PDF specification for IEEE Xplore® ( http://www.ieee.org/portal/pages/pubs/confstandards/pdfs.html).

IEEE PDF eXpress is a customized web site that can help WoWMoM authors either generate an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file, or submit their own PDF for compatibility testing. Prior to submitting your final paper, you must visit IEEE PDF eXpress to either:
  • Convert your paper from a wide range of application formats to IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs
  • Check existing PDFs to find out if it is IEEE Xplore-compatible (and how to fix it)
To register, go to the IEEE PDF eXpress site at http://216.228.1.34/pdfexpress/log.asp , click on the link "New Users - Click Here" and fill in your information. The conference ID for the registration is wowmom08x.

In order to prove that PDF Check has been passed, you must forward the confirmation mail received from the IEEE PDF eXpress service to e.mingozzi [at] iet.unipi.it.

Finally, please note that IEEE PDF eXpress is not a manuscript-collection system and is not intended to replace the conference's submission system. Once you verify that you have an IEEE Xplore-compatible version of your manuscripts, you have to follow the submission instructions below.
